What we collect, what we don’t, and how your uploaded files are handled.

labconvert (“we”, “us”) is a network-lab file converter operated by labconvert.tech. This policy explains what information passes through the service and how we treat it. We built labconvert to collect as little as possible.
When you convert a file, it is uploaded to our backend, parsed into an intermediate topology, and re-emitted into the target format(s) you selected. Unless you save the project to your account (see Saved projects below), the original upload, any intermediate data, and the generated outputs are written to ephemeral working storage and are automatically wiped within roughly 30 minutes of the conversion.
If you generate a shareable link, the conversion result is retained for up to 24 hours so the link can be opened, then wiped. Anyone holding the link can view that result during its lifetime, so only share it with people you trust.
You can use the free tier without an account. If you sign up, we store your email address and a securely hashed password so you can sign back in. We do not require, and do not store, any other personal information.
Anonymous usage is counted with a first-party cookie, backstopped by a keyed hash of your network IP address (we do not store your raw IP), purely to enforce the free-tier conversion quota. This is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
If you are signed in, you can choose to save a conversion to your account — either manually (the “Save to account” button) or by turning on auto-save in Settings. A saved project (its output files plus basic metadata such as name, formats, device count and date) is stored durably in our database so you can find it on any device. Saved projects are kept until you delete them: you can remove any project from the “My projects” panel at any time, and deleting your account removes all of them. We use saved projects only to show them back to you — never for training, resale, or anything else.
Pro and Lab users can optionally configure a webhook URL. When set, we send a signed copy of each successful conversion’s result to that URL on your behalf. You choose the URL and can remove it at any time; we only ever send to a public HTTPS address you provide.
The website ships with no third-party analytics, no advertising scripts, and no behavioural tracking. We keep minimal server-side counters (such as total conversions) for operational and status-page purposes; these are aggregate and not tied to your identity.
Paid plans are processed by Gumroad, our payment provider. Your card details are handled entirely by Gumroad and never touch our servers. We receive a confirmation (including the purchase email and plan) to activate your subscription or licence.
You can use the converter without an account. Conversions you don’t save are wiped automatically. Saved projects stay until you delete them — remove any of them from the “My projects” panel whenever you like. If you want your whole account (and everything in it) removed, email us and we will delete it.
